Valley Squire Furniture is a locally owned and operated furniture business that sells furniture for all rooms of the house, including the living room, dining room, bedroom, home office, and outdoors.
Valley Squire has had one location in Ottawa since opening in 1973, making them one of the oldest local businesses to still be running to this day.

One of these partnered manufacturers just so happens to be La-Z-Boy! Within their furniture selections, you can also find stationary, manual reclining, and power reclining chairs, sofas, and sectionals.

Where is Valley Squire Furniture Made?
As mentioned before, all of Valley Squire’s furniture is outsourced from different retailers and manufacturers, meaning they do not manufacture their own products.
90% of all Valley Squire furniture you see in their showroom is made in Canada. The rest depends on the manufacturers of other companies.
These furniture factories can vary from place to place throughout the world, but most furniture manufacturers tend to be placed in Asian countries.

La-Z-Boy Customization Options
With over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from, there are many possibilities to make your furniture unique to your own personal style.
Aside from upholstery customization, La-Z-Boy living room furniture is also customizable in wood finish, nailhead trim, and welt trim, depending on the chosen frame.

Valley Squire does not offer any customizations included at their location.
Although customizable furniture options are available, like La-Z-Boy and Canadel products, it does not mean they can be customized at Valley Squire. The exact products displayed in the Valley Squire showroom are what you will be bringing back home.

La-Z-Boy Interior Design Services
La-Z Boy does offer complimentary interior design services in our stores. La-Z Boy's interior designers will work with you one-on-one to offer personalized furniture and design recommendations.
In turn, they will create a complete room design based on your personal style and preferences. Moreover, you will receive a complete room mood board and a 3D model of your room design before finalizing your order.

Valley Squire Interior Design Services
Valley Squire, unfortunately, does not offer any interior design services within its showroom.
Valley Squire does offer an online messaging system to answer any burning questions customers may have. Further, Valley Squires salespeople are eager to help in any way they can. With that being said, Valley Squire offers nothing officially relating to design services.
Cost
La-Z-Boy and Valley Squire vary slightly in terms of cost.
This factor, along with the quality of materials and craftsmanship, impacts the overall cost of their products.
Generally speaking, furniture at La-Z-Boy falls within the mid to high price range on the market. In contrast, Valley Squire is around the same ballpark but seems to fall more towards the midprice range.

Both furniture retailers offer a warranty with the sale of their products in order to help protect the long-term value of your investment.
La-Z-Boy Warranty
Although La-Z-Boy's furniture is more expensive than Valley Squire's, the quality is known to last as a long-term investment.
Should anything happen to your furniture if purchased at La-Z Boy, La-Z-Boy products carry a manufacturing warranty that covers some mechanical and frame parts for a lifetime while other parts for1-3 years of damage caused by manufacturing error or workmanship. This warranty is applicable across all upholstery categories on a consistent basis.

At an additional cost, La-Z-Boy also offers an extended protection plan that covers up to five years of accidental damage. Depending on the product, the cost of this warranty is relative.

Valley Squire Warranty
As opposed to La-Z-Boy’s product manufacturers' warranty, Valley Squire does not have a universal warranty for all of its furniture.
The warranty is based on the retailer where the furniture product is manufactured. In turn, the warranty on furniture sold at Valley Squire will vary depending on the manufacturer of the product.
Given that Valley Squire carries La-Z-Boy furniture, the La-Z-Boy manufacturer's warranty will be applied to any La-Z-Boy products sold at Valley Squire.
There is a stain protection warranty that Valley squire offers at an additional cost. This protects any stains from food, beverages or anything else that may appear on your furniture product. For fabric covers, this protection lasts 10 years and lasts 5 years for leather covers.
Delivery
La-Z-Boy and Valley Squire both have different delivery services available for an additional cost. To learn more details about specific delivery fees to your area, contact either retailer.
La-Z-Boy Delivery
La-Z-Boy offers a white glove delivery service that includes set up, assembly, re-arranging furniture, and the disposal of old furniture at an additional cost.
At La-Z-Boy, local Ottawa & Kingston delivery costs $129.99 and out-of-town delivery costs $169.99. For an additional fee of $25 per furniture piece, we can assist with either moving out old furniture from different rooms or bringing it to the curb.
Additionally, we offer the option to dispose of any old furniture in a local landfill at an extra charge of $50 / per furniture seat.
Our delivery team is hired and trained in-house. Given that our delivery people are trained to work specifically for La-Z-Boy, our white-glove service is standardized ensuring a high level of care with every delivery.
Typically at La-Z-Boy, we estimate delivery time to take between 1-2 weeks for furniture that is in stock in our warehouse. Alternatively, custom furniture orders take up to 90 days for delivery.

Valley Squire Delivery
At Valley Squire, local delivery costs $99. Local delivery includes any location in Ottawa, Gatineau or any surrounding areas. Any location outside of Ottawa is considered out-of-town delivery, which costs around $150.
Within their local delivery services, Valley Squire also offers a white glove furniture assembly, which does not have an additional cost.
