Firstly, the Marietta Chair is a statement piece that looks gorgeous from every angle. It features an elegant silhouette that boasts low, subtly flared arms. The arms also feature crisp pleats, which compliment the welt trim that traces Marietta’s graceful lines.

Remember that options and upgrades come at an additional cost, meaning the initial price of the Marietta is subject to increase.

Fabric & Leather Options

La-Z-Boy has over 800 fabrics and leathers, making the experience of personalizing your furniture seemingly endless.

Because the Marietta is part of La-Z-Boy’s Designer’s Choice selection, it has no associated select fabrics.

With Designer's Choice furniture, you can expand your selection of upholstery covers with over 100 fabric options at no extra cost. This is a considerable increase from the standard 4 or 6 cover choices included in the starting price.

However, the Marietta only comes in recycled leather, leather match and other alternative leather options.

Keep in mind that leather selections will always increase the overall cost. There are pros and cons to both fabric and leather upholstery, and the choice is ultimately up to you.

In terms of cost, Lina explains that the Marietta is in the mid-price range for a chair at La-Z-Boy.

With that being said, La-Z-Boy furniture is made with high-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship, which is reflected in a higher cost compared to some other furniture retailers on the market.

Currently, Marietta’s starting price is $1,499. This does not include any additional options and upgrades.

Warranty

The Marietta includes La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.

While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushion, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given time.

Is the Marietta Chair Right for You?

Now that you're well-informed about the Marietta Chair, it's time to answer the big question: is it the perfect chair for you? To find out, let's consider your budget, practical needs, and personal style.

To begin, the Marietta is considered in the mid-price range at La-Z-Boy, as mentioned before. “The fact that it doesn’t change price with the different fabric and leather covers makes it a more affordable option,” says Lina.

While this sounds great, it is also important to know that La-Z-Boy prices will sometimes be more expensive than other furniture pieces on the market. This is because La-Z-Boy's pricing is considered an investment.

And, because your furniture is built with quality materials, you will save more money down the line, since it is meant to last a long time. If you’re interested in investing in a furniture piece, The Marietta could be right for you.

In terms of functionality, the Marietta is great for sitting proportionally with most sofas and loveseats from La-Z-Boy.

But, if you’re looking for an accent chair to recline in, you may not enjoy the Marietta as much as our High-Leg Recliner Selection. Further, the Marietta may not suit those with back problems, since the back of the frame does not have as much cushioning.
