Review of La-Z-Boy’s Ezra Recliner: Rocking  & Wall Recliner

Unique Features

Beginning with unique features, the Ezra includes a contemporary furniture style with plush and sleek comfort combined to make a relaxing furniture experience.

Featuring a scaled-down look with maximum comfort, the Ezra includes flared track arms and channelled back cushions to help with support. Racha says it is a great slim recliner with plush details, especially on the back cushion. “It’s kind of if our Finley Recliner got fat, and was given more stuffing; that’s what it reminds me of!” she jokingly says.

The Ezra is available as a rocking recliner and wall recliner chair. With the rocking recliner chair, you can move in a smooth and graceful motion, while the wall recliner can be placed mere inches away from a wall while still being able to fully recline.

Both recliners can easily recline with the convenient handle on the right side of the outside armrest.

Sizes & Dimensions

The size and dimensions can be a huge factor to consider when purchasing a recliner chair. Before purchasing any new living room furniture, however, it is important to measure your room.

Racha notes that this compact recliner chair is petite in scale, meaning it can fit a smaller space well and suit shorter people more than other recliners. But, even though it is small, it may not be suitable for all small spaces, due to its plushiness. 

What’s more, because of its taller back, the Ezra can suit a wide range of individuals, specifically between the ranges of 5’4” to 6 feet.

While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.

Fabric & Leather Options

La-Z-Boy furniture has over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from, making the experience of personalizing your furniture seemingly endless.

The Ezra recliner has 4 select fabric covers to compliment its unique frame. Select fabrics are included in the starting price of the Ezra recliner chair. Non-select fabrics or leathers will incur an additional cost.

Leather options - even select leather - will always increase the overall cost. Ultimately, the choice of choosing fabric or leather is up to you.

Handle Options

To add more style to your La-Z-Boy recliner, you can customize the length and material of the convenient reclining handle.

At an extra cost, you can elongate the handle if you find it too short for your comfort. Additionally, you can choose from various materials for the handle, including wooden, brushed nickel, or matte black. The chrome handle can also be elongated, matching the wooden one in size.

What’s more, for all left-handed users, you can change your handle from the standard right side to the left. This option also comes at an additional cost.

Optional Swivel Base

If you're interested, the Ezra rocking recliner chair is available with a swivel base for an extra cost. La-Z-Boy's swivel bases provide a 360-degree rotation, allowing you to turn and face any direction easily.

You can also upgrade your swivel base into a power swivel recliner, which can swivel at the touch of a button. The power swivel base, however, only rotates 165 degrees to prevent the power cord from getting tangled within the furniture frame.

Power Upgrade with Adjustable Headrest & Lumbar Support

You can upgrade the Ezra to power. 

Unlike manual furniture that uses a handle or latch, power recliners come with a control panel or a wireless remote for easy reclining at the touch of a button. You can also adjust the headrest support with this convenient feature.

The adjustable headrest allows you to move the head of the recliner chair from 0-55 degrees, giving you more range of motion with your reclining positions.

You can control the lower lumbar area of your recliner chair with the wireless remote. In this case, the lumbar support can expand 3 inches out or deflate to perfectly match the unique curvature of your lumbar spine. 

What’s more, the recliners have USB ports next to the control panels to charge your electronic devices and two memory settings that allow you to save any of your favourite relaxing positions. This way, you can easily recline back to the position you favour quickly and accurately. 

All power upgrades can be cordless, thanks to our rechargeable battery pack. With this, you can place your power recliners anywhere without worrying about plugging them into an electrical outlet.

Warranty

The Ezra is covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.

While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushion, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given period of time.

Is the Ezra Recliner Chair Right For You?

Even though the Ezra can be a more budget-friendly choice at La-Z-Boy, it is important to remember that our furniture is made with high-quality materials, which other furniture stores in Ottawa and Kingston may not be made with. 

Even though La-Z-Boy furniture costs more at the start, it could be a good purchase since the recliner chair will last longer, saving you money on repairs and replacements in the long run.

Finally, Racha says the Ezra is a great recliner chair for anyone looking for a slim masculine-shaped recliner. “This plushy frame makes me think men may enjoy this since it’s more broad than other small recliner chairs.”
