Design Consultations include a one-hour service that is ideal for those who need help looking for the right pieces for your room.
Furniture and Decor Services include services that are ideal for 1-4 rooms. Not only will you receive design expertise and direction in a way that will be implemented in phases based on your budget and priorities, but you will also be able to pull from West of Main’s extensive catalogue of furniture for all the inspiration you need to complete your room.
Finally, the Full-Service Interior Design Services includes building an entire home from the ground up. This can be either a full remodel, a house flip, or conceptualizing the interior of a newly built home. This extensive service will include a comprehensive furniture plan for every room in your home, as well as West of Main Design’s team managing everything from furniture installation, required electrical work for furniture, home decor, wall coverings and more.
La-Z-Boy Interior Design Services
La-Z-Boy offers complimentary interior design services with any purchase. La-Z Boy's interior designers will work with you one-on-one to provide personalized furniture and design recommendations. They offer in-home visits to get a better idea of your space and formal presentations to create a game plan for your project.
In turn, they will create a complete room design based on your style and preferences. Moreover, you will receive a comprehensive room mood board and a 3D model of your room design before finalizing your order.

Warranty

Both furniture retailers offer a warranty with the sale of their products to help protect the long-term value of your investment.
West of Main Warranty
Like most furniture stores in Ottawa that supply from other manufacturers, West of Main’s furniture warranty will depend on the supplier the furniture comes from.
In general, West of Main provides a return policy that includes the return of certain products. These products include decor items, plug-in lighting purchased in-store, and small accessories.
Items that are unfortunately ineligible for return include custom-made furniture items, larger furniture pieces, mattresses, bedding, hardwired lighting, rugs, and items damaged through normal wear and tear.
If your furniture, however, does appear to have been damaged during delivery, you can return it within 30 days with photo proof that you did not damage your furniture.
La-Z-Boy Warranty
The quality of La-Z-Boy’s furniture is known to last as a long-term investment.
La-Z-Boy products come with a manufacturing warranty that covers damage caused by manufacturing errors or workmanship.
The mechanical and frame parts are covered for a lifetime, while others are covered for 1-3 years. This warranty is applicable across all upholstery categories consistently.

At an additional cost, La-Z Boy also offers an Extended Protection Plan that covers up to five years of accidental damage. Depending on the product, the cost of this warranty is relative.

Delivery
West of Main and La-Z-Boy have different delivery services at an additional cost. Contact the retailer to learn more details about specific delivery fees to your area.
West of Main Delivery
When it comes to West of Main’s delivery, the product in question that you’re planning to order will depend on several factors. Delivery can take as long as 4 - 6 weeks, and even longer with a custom-ordered furniture piece.
West of Main Ottawa provides a curbside delivery, which means placing the products in front of your house, and a white glove delivery, which is when the delivery team assembles and unpacks everything inside your home.
White glove delivery will be more expensive than curbside but the cost depends on the size and weight of the order, as well as the address. For example, if you were to order a sectional in town, it would cost about $400 for curbside or $550 for white glove. However, smaller items like an accent chair can cost about $150 for curbside or $200 for white glove.
This also doesn’t take into consideration the combined size and weight of each of these furniture items if it is a combined order. This would account for a different delivery quote altogether.
La-Z-Boy Delivery
Similarly, La-Z-Boy offers a white glove delivery service that includes set up, assembly, rearranging furniture, and disposal of old furniture at an additional cost.
At La-Z-Boy, local Ottawa & Kingston delivery costs $129.99, and out-of-town delivery costs $169.99.
With La-Z-Boy delivery services, an existing piece of furniture can also be moved elsewhere in your home for an additional cost of $25/ per piece. Further, if you have taken advantage of the design services, the delivery men will set up your furniture based on your predetermined floor plan.
Additionally, we offer the option to dispose of any old furniture in a local landfill at an extra charge of $50 / per furniture seat.
