“I don’t think La-Z-Boy has really had this versatile of a sectional before,” she says, “It combines the traditional way that a sectional was meant to be, and brings in a transitional look that’s great for any room.”

Unique Features
Let’s get started with highlighting some of Montrose’s unique features. This particular sectional from La-Z-Boy offers a sophisticated style, and casual comfort put all together to create a wonderful contemporary/transitional furniture piece.
The Montrose Sectional features smooth and simple lines for a clean look, tailored wedge arms, and a chambered blown-fibre loose back cushion that provides comfort, support and durability.
Mary Lee describes the Montrose as “a simple, yet versatile sectional that goes well in most settings.” The reason behind this is that this sectional offers the least number of sectional pieces available, with only 3 choices.
You can relax comfortably on the armless chair, curl up into a ball on the 90-degree corner unit, or store your personal belongings in the storage ottoman.
Even though it has the least amount of pieces, the Montrose’s sectional pieces can work independently or together for comfortable separate items.
Modular pieces normally connect on the side with a screwed-in connector, with heavy-duty fabrics that help with friction. With the Montrose, these connectors are not visible, making it possible for someone to utilize their furniture pieces individually, more conveniently.
Sizes & Dimensions
Montrose’s size and dimensions can help you decide if this furniture piece is right for you.
Because of its versatility to work independently or together, the Montrose can work in all different room sizes. “Besides clashing with other decor styles, I don’t see a sizing issue for this sectional,” Mary Lee says.
However, the seat depth, though not as deep as other furniture frames, is considerably deeper for a comfortable sitting arrangement. Because of the seat depth, this sectional might be better suited for those with an average to taller height scale.
While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.

Fabric & Leather Options
La-Z-Boy has over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from, making the experience of personalizing your furniture seemingly endless.
The Montrose modular sectional has 10 select fabric covers to compliment its unique frame. Mary Lee says that each colour is darker in shade, but can go well with multiple different contemporary styles.
Select fabrics are included in the starting price of the Montrose. Non-select fabrics or leathers will incur an additional cost.

Pillow Options
The Montrose corner units come with pillows, which means you can customize those as well. You can accessorize your pillows by adding an accent colour to them, as well as contrasting welt, cording or fringe.
If you want to get specific, you can also request feather padding for your pillows instead of the usual foam padding.
Sectional Furniture Options & Configurations
An array of Montrose modules lets you customize the perfect sectional configuration for rooms of any size.
Montrose’s sectional consists of 3 furniture pieces that can be used to design a unique configuration that suits your comfort preferences and space. With these available module pieces, your Montrose sectional can be made as big or as small as you wish.
You can place a 90-degree corner to create the famous L-shape that sectionals are known for or place two on each side for a traditional sofa look. An Armless stationary chair is also available to add to your sectional. Lastly, there is a storage ottoman that can mimic a chaise seat or as an extra spot for guests.
There are 4 different basic sectional configurations below to show what your sectional can look like. You can also choose to go with your own unique design if you don’t prefer any of these choices.

Cost
In terms of cost, Montrose’s modern sectional falls within the mid-price range at La-Z-Boy.
While the cost of the Montrose is quite standard at La-Z-Boy, it is important to note that La-Z-Boy furniture is considered expensive on the market. This cost is reflected in the quality of materials and craftsmanship of our products.
With this, the investment tends to be worthwhile if you are looking for long-lasting furniture.
In its smallest configuration, the Montrose Sectional has a starting price of $3,876. This price can become more expensive when adding more pieces to it.

Warranty
The Montrose is covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.

While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushion, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given period of time.

Is the Montrose Sectional Right For You?
Now that you’re more familiar with the Montrose sectional, you might know whether or not this furniture item is right for you. However, if you’re still undecided, here are some extra factors to consider before purchasing.
Beginning with cost, the Montrose is one of the more affordable sectionals at La-Z-Boy, which could be a good option for individuals who have a stricter budget. However, while this may sound good, the price for furniture at La-Z-Boy is generally more expensive than other furniture stores on the market.
Even though they may be more expensive, these furniture pieces will last you longer than other furniture pieces built with lower-quality materials. If you’re looking for a furniture item that will last a long time, the Montrose may be right for you.
Regarding functionality, because Montrose’s modular pieces work together or separately, this sectional can be good for someone who is moving to either a smaller or larger space and wants a furniture piece they know they can bring with them if they decide to move.
Mary Lee also mentions that it can be good for someone who loves to change their furniture arrangement every now and then. “Instead of a sectional with two armless pieces and two corner pieces, you can take the middle section and use them as armless accent chairs and make the corner pieces into a loveseat.”
Lastly, in terms of style, Mary Lee says that even though this furniture piece is transitional in nature, it does tend to lean more on the traditional side of things, which not everyone enjoys.
