Available Furniture Frames

Before we get into the nitty gritty, let’s familiarize ourselves with what comes in the Maddox Furniture Family.

Maddox Recliner

The first frame on this list is the Maddox Recliner, which is available as a rocking or wall recliner. The rocking recliner can rock in a smooth motion while reclined, while the wall recliner can recline fully while staying mere inches from a wall.

There is also the Maddox Reclining Chair & a Half,  which operates the same way as any other La-Z-Boy recliner. The only difference is it’s wider, which also makes it the only reclining chair & a half at our disposal, besides the Roman.

All Maddox Recliners can recline by using the convenient handle on the right side of the outside arm.

Maddox Reclining Sectional

The other furniture frame is the Maddox Reclining Sectional, which is notably the main event in this furniture family. Maddox's sectional has an array of modules to choose from, which lets you customize the perfect configuration for any size room.

Unique Features

First things first, let’s get into the Maddox’s unique features.

The Maddox is a bold and modern recliner that features strong and simple lines, creating a fresh look. Its extra-wide reclining back and waterfall chaise seat create a spacious appearance for an inviting vibe.

Speaking of its spacious look, the Maddox sectional is very wide, making it one of the wider sectionals at our disposal. According to some salespeople on our La-Z-Boy floors, its wide appearance rivals our ever-popular Paxton Sectional, which has the widest seats on a sectional from our selection.

The Maddox also features flat flange welt trim detailing that adds an extra flair to the frame. 

Sizes & Dimensions

When comparing your space to any new furniture item, it is always important to Measure Your Room.

Regarding the size and dimensions of the Maddox, the size is larger than most, as mentioned before. This means that it would not be suitable for a small space. 

Looking at who would sit comfortably in the Maddox, anyone between the heights of 5’10” and 6’2” would be best complemented in these furniture items. This means that the Maddox has a taller back that compliments slightly taller individuals. 

While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.

When compared to other La-Z-Boy furniture families, Maddox has plenty to choose from. Keep in mind that your selection of options and upgrades can increase the final price of your furniture. 

Fabric & Leather Options

La-Z-Boy has over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from, making the experience of personalizing your furniture seemingly endless.

When it comes to choosing select fabrics, the Maddox comes in 4 select fabric covers. Additionally, there are also 4 select faux leather choices. These fabric covers do not increase the price of your Maddox furniture.

When it comes to leather options, there are 2 select cover options. Along with the leather selection, the aforementioned leather stitching is also available. All leather options, including the select leather selection, will always increase the overall cost.

Ultimately, the choice of fabric or leather is up to you if you’re willing to spend extra cash on leather products.

Optional Swivel Base

If you're interested, the Maddox rocking recliner is available with a swivel base for an extra cost. La-Z-Boy's swivel bases provide a 360-degree rotation, allowing you to easily turn and face any direction.

You can also upgrade your swivel base into a power swivel recliner, which can recline at the touch of a button. The power swivel base, however, only rotates 165 degrees to prevent the power cord from getting tangled within the furniture frame.

Handle Options

To add more style to your La-Z-Boy manual recliner, you have the option to customize the length and material of the convenient reclining handle.

At an extra cost, you can opt to elongate the handle if you find it too short for your comfort. Additionally, you can choose from a variety of materials for the handle, including wooden, brushed nickel, or matte black. The chrome handle can also be elongated, matching the wooden one in size.

What’s more, for all left-handed users, you can change your handle from the standard right side to the left. This also comes at an additional cost.

Power Upgrade with Adjustable Headrest & Lumbar

You can upgrade the Maddox recliners and sectional to power. 

Instead of using a handle or a latch, like with manual furniture, the power recliner has a wireless remote on the right side of the chair. With this, you can recline at the touch of a button, as well as control the adjustable headrest support.

The adjustable headrest allows you to move the head of the recliner from 0-55 degrees, giving you more range of motion with your reclining positions. 

You can also control the lower lumbar area of your recliner with the wireless remote. In this case, the lumbar support can expand 3 inches out or deflate to perfectly match the unique curvature of your lumbar spine. 

What’s more, the recliners have USB ports next to the control panels to charge your electronic devices, as well as two memory settings that allow you to save any of your favourite relaxing positions. This way, you can easily recline back to the position you favour quickly and accurately.

Sectional Furniture Options & Configurations

Maddox’s sectional consists of 16 modular pieces that can be used to design a unique configuration that suits your comfort preferences and space. 

With these available module pieces, your Maddox sectional can be made as big or as small as you wish.

End pieces include a left or right sitting recliner, or chaise. You can also place a corner section to create the famous L-shape for which sectionals are known. What's more, there is also a choice to add armless chairs or recliners for extra length, as well as a storage console.

There are 8 different basic sectional configurations below to show what your sectional can look like. You can also choose to go with your own unique design if you don’t prefer any of these choices.

The Maddox is covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.

While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushions, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given period.
