About the Quinault Furniture Family
Firstly, let’s start with some unique features. Taking a look at this recliner, you’ll notice a few things.
The Quinault is a streamlined and clean silhouette that features bold track arms, blocky wood legs and a tall foam box-border back and headrest that imparts a fresh and modern vibe.
Racha mentions that this reclining furniture family comes only in power, and is the first of three products to be introduced on our floor as the latest in our Zero Gravity Collection. She says, “The difference between these recliners and our regular ones is that you can fully recline in a horizontal position, which is great if you’re someone who likes to relax like you’re in bed.”
The zero-gravity function has a control panel on the inside of the frame, instead of the outside, and can still charge your devices, including the newest iPhone chargers. And, it has a headrest feature that allows you to move the top of the recliner head so you can cradle your neck in comfort.
Racha also says that the height of the legs is great for those looking for easy cleaning access under their couches. “Roombas can fit underneath so you can clean underneath the Quinault easily.”
When it comes to the size of the Quinault, Racha says that this type of recliner can be good for small spaces, if the furniture isn’t too close to the wall. “These types of recliners need more space behind so they can recline fully,” she says.
As for who might be comfortable sitting in them, the Quinault can comfortably seat those between the heights of 5’4” and 5’9”.
While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.
This is why we highly recommend coming in-store and taking a sit test to determine if the Quinault furniture family is right for your unique body type. To learn more, take a look at our article How to Find a Recliner That is The Best Fit For You.

Quinault Furniture Family Options & Upgrades
The Quinault furniture family comes with a variety of options and upgrades to enhance your comfort and style:
Upholstery Cover Options
When selecting the fabric or leather for your Quinault furniture family, the cost will vary based on the grade you choose. Select fabrics will not affect the starting price of your furniture, but anything beyond that will.
This includes select leather and anything inside our leather selections at La-Z-Boy.
For a comprehensive understanding of La-Z-Boy's upholstery grades, check out this article.
*Please note that this article's leather or fabric options may be discontinued or unavailable without prior notice. We recommend contacting your local Ottawa, Gatineau or Kingston La-Z-Boy store by phone or in-person to confirm availability. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by any changes to our upholstery selection.
Alongside our extensive range of covers, the Quinault is also available in specialty fabrics that offer unique features and benefits…
- Stain Resistant: Innovative iClean Technology surrounds each fabric fibre, creating a barrier that repels spills before turning into stains.
- Pet Friendly: Tested and formulated to withstand the scratches and wear that a pet can cause to ensure a durable and easily washable fabric.
- Antimicrobial Fabric: Antimicrobial properties surround each fibre to protect against mould, mildew and odour-causing bacteria.
- Performance: Superior stain and fade resistance properties make fabrics easy to clean and incredibly durable.
- Eco-Friendly: Conserve Sustainable Fabrics are soft, durable and made from recycled water bottles.
- Energy Restoration: Restore by Nanobionic® features a mineral-based fabric coating that transforms natural body heat into energy using infrared technology.
- Bleach Cleanable: These comfortable and resilient fabrics can withstand diluted bleach products for the toughest stains.
Cushion Upgrade
At an additional cost, Quinault cushions can also be upgraded to include firmer cushioning, meaning over time, your furniture will remember your unique figure and enhance the comfort of your furniture. This could be a great option for people with mobility issues, allowing you to get in and out of your furniture more comfortably.
Wood Leg Finish Options
La-Z-Boy is all about customization, and that includes customizing the base. The Quinault can come in one of two finish options:
- Brown Mahogany (Standard Finish)
- Coffee (additional cost)
Quinault Furniture Family Cost
In terms of cost, Quinault’s family falls within the high-price range at La-Z-Boy. Racha says this is due to the fact that it is only available in power, and power furniture is normally more expensive than manual furniture.
While the cost of the Quinault is quite standard at La-Z-Boy, it is important to note that La-Z-Boy furniture is considered expensive on the market. This cost is reflected in the quality of materials and craftsmanship of our products.
*Please note that La-Z-Boy prices listed in this article are subject to change without notice. Information is current as of May 8th, 2025. Contact your local La-Z-Boy Ottawa, Gatineau and Kingston stores by phone or in person for up-to-date pricing.

Quinault Furniture Family Warranty
The Quinault furniture family is covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.
For full details of the Limited Lifetime Warranty, check out this full La-Z-Boy warranty breakdown.
While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushions, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given period of time.
To further protect your purchase, La-Z-Boy Ottawa, Gatineau and Kingston offer an extended warranty plan at an additional cost. To learn more about the Extended Warranty Plan and if it’s right for you, take a look at this article.
La-Z-Boy also has furniture financing options available to those who may not have the full amount right away. To learn more about La-Z-Boy’s Furniture Financing, take a look at this article.
Is the Quinault Furniture Family Right For You?
Now that you know everything you need to know about the Quinault furniture family, it is time to figure out if this recliner chair is right for you.
First things first, the Quinault is an understated style that works well in a lot of modern rooms. However, the fact that it is a powerful furniture product might deter people from purchasing it.
Even though this is a more expensive furniture product, Racha says that the Quinault is a comfortable recliner and is great for someone who is looking for something new and unique in their home.
Although power furniture has its cons, it has its pros as well. To learn more about the difference between Manual and Power Recliners, take a look at this article.
Next, the Quinault is considered a smaller recliner in terms of shape and is better suited for those with an average height.
Although this is true, some people with a smaller space might have a harder time placing this product because it needs a lot of space so that it can recline horizontally. If you’re furnishing a smaller room in an open concept space, this furniture product might be the right one for you.
And, if you’re someone taller or shorter than 5’4” to 5’9”, you might not sit comfortably in this recliner. However, as mentioned before, everyone sits in a seat differently, so these guidelines are not meant to be concrete. If you’re looking for Recliners for Taller or Shorter People, take a look at these articles.
