So, another year has gone by and come to a close. As 2023 nears its end, we here at La-Z-Boy love to look at the good times we spent at our Ottawa & Kingston locations.
And, we thought, what better way to celebrate our success than showing off which furniture frames performed well all year! This is the first of four articles showcasing our best-selling furniture of 2023, with other articles coming very soon.
For this article, we look at our best La-Z-Boy recliners of 2023, which have an interesting lineup compared to last year’s list. While there may be some that have made a reappearance, others have replaced older frames and seem to have a running theme, with slim shapes dominating this year’s list.
But which of these recliners are we talking about? Well, let’s not keep you waiting any longer, here is our list of the top La-Z-Boy recliners for 2023!

1. The Finley Recliner
The first entry on our list is also the number-one best-selling recliner chair! Taking the first place position from our classic Pinnacle, the Finley Recliner hits the home run for the slim shape theme we see throughout this list.

Second on our list is the Pinnacle Recliner, which makes a return from last year's list, but bumped down to the number 2 position.
The Pinnacle is the quintessential grandpa recliner and what someone would typically see when they think of a La-Z-Boy. However, with people trying to veer away from this style of furniture, including La-Z-Boy itself with its new branding, it remains a top seller in Ottawa & Kingston.
Why is that, you may ask? One of the main contributors behind the Pinnacle being one of the best recliners is possible because it is considered a family-friendly product. The easy-going style reminds us of the older generation that came before us and potentially makes us feel nostalgic.
Plus, its plushy pillowed tall back and padded rolled arms are super comfy and allow you to sink into its relaxing seats for either long or short sits.

3. The Lennon Recliner
Introduced in our La-Z-Boy Ottawa & Kingston showrooms this year, the Lennon continues the slim shape theme we see on this list.
The Lennon Rocking Recliner offers a sleek, streamlined look with a contemporary style. It has the clean tailored look you love with the comfort and function you want. Lennon’s size is also scaled down, meaning it fits well in smaller spaces. But, style is cranked up, with sleek track arms and topstitching detail that makes it stand out from the crowd.

4. The Rowan Recliner
Making another reappearance from last year is the Rowan Recliner chair, which may have lost its loveseat and sofa frames but is still a top-of-the-line recliner with its single frame.
This exquisite recliner chair includes a combination of style and comfort. While its looks are sleek, the flared arms help maximize the seating area, giving it a full look. What also helps make this recliner stand out is its tall wing-shaped back, which extends outward to give it more flair.

6. The Astor Recliner - HM
Over to our honourable mentions list, these three recliners represent recliners that were still considered best sellers but just didn’t quite make the top 5. Like, the Astor Recliner chair, for example.
While it was in the lineup for last year’s list, it unfortunately fell down the main 5 list. But, this does not mean it is not a great recliner anymore! The Astor is still a great recliner chair, especially for larger users.
Known as our tallest recliner ever, Astor features a deep, wide seat and comes standard with our tall base. The tall pillow back features three separate cushions that can adjust to your body’s contours, while the chaise seat and padded flared arms provide the ultimate comfort.

7. The Morrison Recliner - HM
Once again appearing in our honourable mentions is the Morrison, who does its best to stay a top contender. This plushy recliner chair is great for anyone who wants to feel like they’re sitting on a cloud.
Designed for comfort and durability, it features a tufted back and chaise seat, with amply padded arms that help cradle you in comfort. Although it isn’t on the main list, plush recliners are still a family favourite, which is shown with the Pinnacle and Rowan remaining on the list. Maybe the Morrison will have better luck next year!

8. The Colby Recliner - HM
The last recliner we would like to honourably mention is a furniture frame that doesn’t appear as a recliner.
The Colby, notably part of our Duo Collection, is a reclining chair that appears as a stationary piece but has the secret ability to power recline with the touch of a button.
It features graceful rolled arms, decorative wood legs, padded outer arms, and a padded outer back.
