Every year La-Z-Boy has furniture items that have sold more than others. And, with 2022 coming to a close, what better way to celebrate than by looking back at our top selling recliners of the year?

1. The Pinnacle Recliner
The Pinnacle is the top-selling recliner at La-Z-Boy Ottawa & Kingston in 2022!
Zeina says that a driving force behind this recliner’s popularity is “because it is a very family oriented product, and it can come in many different furniture variations.”
That being said, the Pinnacle is described as having an easygoing style that’s just right for resting and relaxing. Featuring a plushy pillowed tall back and padded rolled arms, the Pinnacle allows you to sink into its comfortable seats for either long or short sits.
The Pinnacle is available as a rocking, wall, gilding, and lift recliner. You can also purchase the Pinnacle as a reclining loveseat and a reclining sofa.
2. The Finley Recliner
Next on our list is the Finley, which is one of the most Modern looking recliners at La-Z-Boy.
The Finley is known for its streamlined design, with all frames available as wall recliners. This means that this furniture family can easily recline mere inches from the wall, requiring less space in your home.
The Finley includes modern lines, sleek track arms, and a tall foam back that gives it a neat and structured appearance. What’s more, the ultra-plush chaise seat and leg rest cradle your body in a continuous zone of comfort.
Zeina also says that the Finley can fit in any design style “with the right fabric or leather cover, of course.” She also says that it takes patterned covers nicely, which not all furniture families can do.

3. The Rowan Recliner

Another best seller in 2023 is the Rowan Recliner.
The Rowan is an exquisite combination of style and comfort, according to Zeina. In fact, this is one of Zeina’s personal favourite recliners at La-Z-Boy. “I have this one in my home!” she exclaims.
This recliner’s look is sleek and clean. It is a contemporary-styled furniture piece that suits those on a smaller scale. Further, Rowan’s flared arms maximize the seating area, meaning there is more room to sit in each furniture frame.
Rowan, though not as plushy as the Pinnacle, also includes high-grade foam seat cushions to help maintain its comfort and appearance.
The Rowan is available as a rocking, wall, and gliding recliner.
4. The Trouper Recliner
In 2022, the fourth best-selling recliner at La-Z-Boy Ottawa & Kingston is the Trouper.
Featuring an updated contemporary silhouette, the Trouper features slightly flared arms and a tall, sleek back, contrasting with Rowan's shorter sleek back.
The Trouper also features sculpted bucket seats that cradle you in softness, while a padded split back helps provide great head and lumbar support.
Zeina says that the Trouper is “a typical La-Z-Boy recliner that is very cushiony and always comfortable.” Given Trouper’s available upgrade to the loveseat with console, Zeina says that this furniture frame is a great choice for someone who wants to furnish a home theatre.

5. The Astor Recliner
Last but not least is the Astor Recliner, which is the only furniture product on this list that does not feature loveseats or sofas under its name.
Designed especially for larger users, the Astor features a deep, wide seat and comes standard with a tall base.
Astor’s tall pillow back includes three separate cushions that can adjust to your body’s contours, while the chaise seat and padded flared arms provide optimal comfort.
Zeina says that because the Astor is very large in size, it can be difficult to place this recliner in a small room. “Recliners like this require a lot of room to lift, rock, and recline, so this type of recliner is more recommended for more open-concept living rooms,” she says.
She also adds that the Astor Lift Recliner is perfect for those who suffer from mobility issues since its added functionality can lift a user in and out of the chair.

6. The Morrison Recliner - Honourable Mention
Although it may not have made the list of top 5 best-sellers in 2022, it also performed well in sales this year.
The Morrison is designed for comfort and durability. Featuring a tufted back, chaise seat, and large padded arms, this reclining furniture family will help you relieve tension after a stressful day.
Zeina says that this furniture product is more affordable than other recliners and is also more suitable for those with a heavy build. This is especially true for people like construction workers who need a larger chair to relax in. Because of this, the Morrison could also be the perfect fit for a man cave.

7. The Vail Recliner - Honourable Mention
Lastly, another honourable mention is the petite Vail Recliner, which, similarly to the Astor, only comes as a recliner chair.
Named after the city in Colorado, the Vail is rich in beauty and luxury, with a petite scale that can fit small spaces very nicely. “It’s smaller than the Rowan,” says Zeina, “and it’s a good recliner for people who aren’t looking for too much.”
Even though this recliner is small, it is still very big in comfort, with a plush biscuit-style back and padded rolled arms for a more traditional look.
The Vail is only available as a rocking and wall recliner.
