Review of the Roxie Swivel Chair
Furniture shopping is all about finding the perfect fit. The last thing you want to do is compromise on what’s important to you in a furniture frame.
Sometimes people are looking for a big enough chair that will make a statement in a home, can face multiple areas, and can seat more than just one person. While this may seem like most furniture frames can do this, it’s actually harder to find a product that can do all three.
However, with the Clover swivel chair & a half you can do all three! According to Tim Young, a design consultant at La-Z-Boy Hunt Club, he says the Clover “is a stylish accent chair, can swivel, and is also a chair & a half.”

Unique Features
The Clover is recognized as a three-in-one furniture piece. As mentioned above, it can triple as an accent piece, a swivel chair, and a chair & a half. The swivel capability allows users to move around at a 360-degree angle without interruptions.
What’s more, since the Clover is considered a chair & a half, it means the back and seat cushions can accommodate more than one person. In fact, Tim says this chair can be the perfect spot to share with your small children or furry animal friends.
As for frame details, the Clover features a fun and functional barrel-style shape, which hug the user (or users) in place. It also features crips welt detailing, patented ComfortCore® cushioning, and an 18” accent pillow which you can also customize independently.
“This chair actually sells itself,” says Tim. “Since it has a lot of appeal as a motion piece, it can be placed in many different spaces like a family room, a basement, a cottage and other spaces.”
Size & Dimensions
The size and dimensions of a furniture item can say a lot about a product. Whenever you purchase a new item for a room, it is always crucial to measure your space.
In terms of what sized room the Clover can be placed in, Tim says it might suit open-concept spaces more, due to the swivel capability. “You wouldn’t want to only use a small space for this kind of chair. You’d want to use all angles to get a better experience.”

According to Tim, the Clover swivel chair & a half is designed to comfortably accommodate individuals with an average height, ranging from 5’4” to 5’9”. “Because of the deep seats, however, various people could feel comfortable sitting in this chair,” he says.
While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. How you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.

Remember that options and upgrades come at an additional cost, meaning the initial price of the Clover is subject to increase.
Fabric & Leather Options
La-Z-Boy has over 800 fabrics and leathers, making the experience of personalizing your furniture seemingly endless.
Because the Clover is part of La-Z-Boy’s Designer’s Choice selection, it has no associated select fabrics.
With Designer's Choice furniture, you can expand your selection of upholstery covers with over 100 fabric options at no extra cost. This is a considerable increase from the standard 4 or 6 cover choices included in the starting price.
However, the Clover only comes in recycled leather. Keep in mind that leather selections will increase the overall cost. There are pros and cons to fabric and leather upholstery, and the choice is ultimately up to you.

Pillow Options
Clover’s Chair & a Half comes with a pillow, which means you can also customize that independently. You can accessorize your pillows by adding an accent colour to them, as well as contrasting welt, cording or fringe.
If you want to get specific, you can also request feather padding for your pillows instead of the usual foam padding.
Contrasting Welt Trim
In addition to the wide range of upholstery options, customers can also choose a contrasting welt trim to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the Clover's design. For those looking for an even more eye-catching look, patterned welt trim options are also available to turn the Clover into a stunning accent chair.
Swivel Base Finish Options
La-Z-Boy is all about customization, including modifying the legs of your chair. The Clover legs can come in one of two finish options:

Cost
In terms of cost, Tim explains that the Clover is in the mid-price range for a chair at La-Z-Boy. “A chair & a half will be more expensive than any regular chair since it takes more materials to make them.”
With that being said, La-Z-Boy furniture is made with high-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship, which is reflected in a higher cost compared to some other furniture retailers on the market.

Warranty
The Clover includes La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.
While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushion, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given time.

If you’re willing to spend extra on your furniture frame and potentially save more down the line from repairs and replacements, the Clover, as with any other furniture item at La-Z-Boy, is the right choice for you.
As for functionality, the Clover is a best-selling chair & a half for a reason. This is because it is a great choice for any young families looking for a chair to snuggle up with their kids or with their animals. It is also a great option for a nursery, due to the easy swivel option.
However, if you live in a smaller space, you might not benefit from the Clover’s swivel option. You might also not be a fan of the swivel option if you’re someone who gets easily dizzy or someone with mobility issues.
