La-Z-Boy is an American company established in Michigan, United States, over 90 years ago.
Although the company has American roots, the Ottawa and Kingston locations have been locally owned and operated by the Maxwell family since 2011.
La-Z-Boy prides itself on its furniture quality, style, and comfortability, which is why one of its popular phrases is "style meets comfort."
La-Z-Boy’s primary specialty is living room furniture, but it also offers furniture for other rooms in the home, including the dining room and bedroom. Additionally, La-Z-Boy also provides a wide variety of home accessories and decor.
Regarding an online platform, La-Z-Boy Ottawa & Kingston has a website called stylemeetscomfort.ca. As previously mentioned, the website is an excellent resource for browsing the product selection, learning about furniture, and staying up-to-date with current sales.
With that being said, the Style Meets Comfort website is not an e-commerce platform, meaning you cannot purchase products through the website. Instead, you must visit one of four Ottawa or Kingston showrooms and buy products with one of the Design Consultants.

First, it is essential to highlight that La-Z-Boy manufactures all furniture sold at La-Z-Boy.
La-Z-Boy is a global manufacturer operating in North America, Asia, and Europe. La-Z-Boy’s products are primarily made in North America for North American markets, with their global headquarters in Monroe, Michigan.
Our recliners, chairs, sofas, and sectionals sold in Ottawa and Kingston are primarily manufactured in Dayton, Tennessee.

Customization Options

Tables often have a few tabletop colours or finish options and alternatives of metal finishes, including chrome, gold or black.
Wayfair does have a comprehensive list of filters you can check out. This allows you to filter through custom furniture by country of origin, upholstery colour, price per item, and sustainable options.
La-Z-Boy Customization Options
In contrast, upholstery furniture at La-Z-Boy is highly customizable.
With over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from, there are many possibilities to make your furniture unique to fit your own personal style.
Aside from upholstery customization, La-Z-Boy living room furniture is also customizable in cushion density, leg style, wood finish, nailhead trim, and welt trim, depending on the chosen frame.
Further, reclining furniture items at La-Z-Boy have many upgrades, such as power upgrades. With power, select models are available with additional features, such as heat & massage, power lift options for recliners, and adjustable headrest & lumbar.

La-Z-Boy Interior Design Services
La-Z-Boy also offers complimentary interior design services with any purchase. La-Z Boy's interior designers will work with you one-on-one to provide personalized furniture and design recommendations.
In turn, they will create a complete room design based on your personal style and preferences. Moreover, you will receive a comprehensive room mood board and a 3D model of your room design before finalizing your order.

Cost
Wayfair and La-Z-Boy furniture vary slightly in terms of cost.

Warranty

Both furniture retailers offer a warranty with the sale of their products to help protect the long-term value of your investment.
Wayfair Warranty
Wayfair offers a standard one-year warranty on all of its furniture pieces. This warranty includes the parts and labour against manufacturing defects.
As for other warranties, extended plans are offered for certain furniture products. Specifically, high-quality items seem to have more of a lifetime warranty association and an extended 5-year protection plan.
Additional protection plans are covered under Allstate and come at an additional charge.
There is also a 30-day return policy in place for damaged or defective items.
La-Z-Boy Warranty
The quality of La-Z-Boy’s furniture is known to last as a long-term investment.
La-Z-Boy products come with a manufacturing warranty that covers damage caused by manufacturing errors or workmanship.
The mechanical and frame parts are covered for a lifetime, while others are covered for 1-3 years. This warranty is applicable across all upholstery categories consistently.

Delivery

Wayfair Delivery
Wayfair has many different types of delivery services. These depend on the furniture delivery options listed on the product pages, meaning not all delivery options are available for all furniture products.
Since Wayfair is all online, it does not have a fixed price on local or out-of-town delivery services. Because of this, they offer free shipping with all of their furniture.
Outside delivery is the standard delivery, which is $10 per furniture piece. Additionally, Wayfair’s white glove assembly services will cost $149, while the specified room delivery will cost $50 per furniture piece.
La-Z-Boy Delivery
Similarly, La-Z-Boy offers a white glove delivery service that includes set up, assembly, re-arranging furniture, and disposal of old furniture at an additional cost.
At La-Z-Boy, local Ottawa & Kingston delivery costs $129.99, and out-of-town delivery costs $169.99.
For an additional fee of $25 per furniture piece, we can assist with either moving out old furniture from different rooms or bringing it to the curb.
Additionally, we offer the option to dispose of any old furniture in a local landfill at an extra charge of $50 / per furniture seat.
