Types of Loveseats
Before exploring loveseat prices, it's important to understand the different types available.At La-Z-Boy and elsewhere, you can find 2 different main types of loveseats: stationary and reclining.
Stationary loveseats are furniture pieces that can emphasize comfort and style. “When looking at a stationary loveseat you’ll see lovely arms, accentuated seats and beautiful wood legs that add character to the piece.”
Reclining loveseats prioritize comfort and relaxation over style. While they can still incorporate stylistic elements, customers primarily choose them for the ability to put their feet up and unwind. These loveseats are perfect for those looking to create a cozy, comfortable space for themselves or with a loved one.

On average, most loveseats cost about $400 - $5,000. This depends on the type of loveseat you’re looking for and if the upholstery is fabric or leather.

However, La-Z-Boy loveseat prices tend to vary from the average, with a range typically falling between $2,000 to $5,000.
While the cost of a loveseat at La-Z-Boy is more expensive than other furniture stores, it is important to note that La-Z-Boy makes furniture with higher quality materials that are meant to last a long time.
Although La-Z-Boy loveseat prices may be higher, don't let that discourage you. La-Z-Boy furniture is built to last and is less likely to wear out as easily as other products on the market. Factors that Affect the Cost of a Loveseat
Having established the price ranges for loveseats both industry-wide and at La-Z-Boy, it's worth exploring the additional factors that can impact the cost.
Although these customizations and upgrades are mainly featured at La-Z-Boy, other furniture stores can also offer these options.
Upholstery Covers
La-Z-Boy has over 800 fabric covers, meaning you can make your loveseat as unique as you want.
Some furniture frames come with several select fabric options, which do not increase the price of your furniture piece. However, you will be subjected to additional fees if you go beyond that selection.
Leather Covers
If you opt for leather, this will likely increase the cost of your Loveseat. Although leather is a more expensive option than fabric, leather tends to be extremely durable and long-lasting. “Leather can sometimes be twice as much in price than a fabric piece,” says Magaly.

Specialty Fabrics
In addition to the upholstery covers mentioned above, La-Z-Boy offers specialty fabrics with unique features and benefits. The following specialty fabrics are available:
- Stain Resistant Fabric: Innovative iClean Technology surrounds each fabric fibre, creating a barrier that repels spills before turning into stains.
- Pet-Friendly Fabric: Tested and formulated to withstand the scratches and wear that a pet can cause to ensure a durable and easily washable fabric.
- Antimicrobial Fabric: Antimicrobial properties surround each fibre to protect against mould, mildew, and odour-causing bacteria.
- Performance: Superior stain and fade resistance properties make fabrics easy to clean and incredibly durable.
- Eco-Friendly: Conserve Sustainable Fabrics are soft, durable and made from recycled water bottles.
- Energy Restoration: Restore by Nanobionic® features a mineral-based fabric coating that transforms natural body heat into energy using infrared technology.
Upgrading to specialty fabric will increase the cost of your Loveseat by 25% - 30% of the starting price.
Contrasting Welt Trim
Contrasting welt trim is a great way to add character to your loveseat, but this addition does come at a cost. The price of adding a contrasting welt trim at La-Z-Boy is an extra $100 to the starting price.
Wood Leg Finish
Stationary loveseats at La-Z-Boy have distinct decorative wood legs that complement the look of your frame. The main wood finish option that La-Z-Boy has for wood legs is brown mahogany, which does not change the price of the furniture item.
With that being said, if you opt for alternative options like graphite, coffee, or driftwood, there will be an additional cost of $70.
Mattress Selection
Some stationary loveseats have the option to include a sofa bed inside of the frame. While the ComfortCore sofa bed is the standard option that features an innerspring mattress, customers can also choose between the Slumber Air or the firmer mattress upgrade.
The ComfortCore mattress will add an extra $200 to your loveseat.
The Slumber Air mattress will add an extra $700 to the starting price.
And, the firmer mattress option will add an extra $900 to the starting price.
Power Upgrade
You can also upgrade a reclining loveseat to power.
Unlike manual furniture with a handle or latch, power recliners come with a control panel for easy reclining. You can also adjust the headrest support, which allows you to move the head of the recliner from 0-55 degrees, giving you more range of motion with your reclining positions.
Moreover, the recliners have USB ports next to the control panels to charge your electronic devices and two memory settings that allow you to save any of your favourite relaxing positions. This way, you can easily recline back to the position you favour quickly and accurately.
You can also further upgrade your loveseat to include the lumbar support, which can expand 3 inches out or deflate to perfectly match the unique curvature of your lumbar spine.

Loveseat With Console
Lastly, one of the more notable options at La-Z-Boy exclusive to the loveseat is the console upgrade.
With a console, you can add extra storage to the middle of your loveseat and cup holders to keep your drink next to you. Further, the console offers an interior electronic charging input instead of the ports outside the loveseat and a light-up function, so you can easily see your drinks in the dark.

Now that we've discussed La-Z-Boy's loveseat options, let's examine some of the different frames available at various price points. It is important to note that each price mentioned is the starting price of a furniture product.
1. The Piper Loveseat - Low Price ($1,979)
Firstly is the Piper Loveseat, which is one of the most affordable frames at the moment. Piper's sleek, streamlined style fits in with just about any decor from ultra-modern to comfortably casual.

Finally, in the higher price range is the Greyson, which is perfect for relaxing for long periods of time, according to Magaly.
The Finley loveseat is designed with channels of stuffing running from the midpoint to the back, down under the knees and continuing all the way to the feet.
These channels offer a comfortable embrace around your body, with the outer channels gently pushing you into the center channel and holding you in place. This feature, along with its sturdy frame and optional console, make the Greyson loveseat a perfect addition to any home theater room.
