Dorian Recliner Chair

If you’re looking for a single seat in your room, the Dorian recliner chair is perfect for individualized comfort. 

Simply use the convenient handle on the outside right arm to place the manual reclining chair in a comfortable position. If you’re left-handed, you can choose to place the handle on the left side at an additional cost.

The Dorian is available as a rocking recliner or a wall recliner. The Rocking Recliner can rock without reclining, while the Wall Recliner can recline near a wall.

Dorian Reclining Loveseat

Adding an extra seat to the recliner, the Dorian Reclining Loveseat is perfect for anyone wanting to share their lounging with friends and family or snuggling up to that special someone.

Instead of a handle, use the latch on either side to conveniently release the legrest and push back to fully recline.

Dorian Reclining Sofa

Lastly, we have the Dorian Reclining Sofa, a three-seater perfect for any family-friendly seating arrangement. Like the loveseat, use the latch on either end of the sofa to raise the legrest and recline in the outer seats.

Unique Features

Based on appearance alone, there is much to be said about the Dorian furniture family.

The Dorian features large-scaled proportions to its framing, with soft cushions wrapped around the seating area and tapered armrests for a laid-back modern furniture style. Comfort is scaled up, with an inviting bucket chaise seat that encourages you to kick your feet up and relax. 

This furniture family also features a pub-styled back that creates a refined casual appearance, as well as topstitching patterns from head to toe.

Upon sitting down on the Dorian, Lina noted that even though the seat had a bucket chaise, it was a little firmer than others. “It is definitely a firmer seat and it feels like the chair keeps you more upright than other recliners.” 

This is because of its tall back, which is not only suitable for taller users but is great for support for those with back pain.

Sizes & Dimensions

The size and dimensions can reveal a lot about a furniture frame. Before purchasing any new furniture item in a room, you should make sure to Measure Your Space. 

At first glance, the Dorian furniture family is larger than other styles offered at La-Z-Boy due to the exposed wings and armrests from the generous cushioning.

Lina also says that because of the Dorian’s taller back and firmer seats, it can also suit users of average height and taller individuals.  

While your height can be a considerable factor, it is important to note that height guidelines are NOT set in stone. The way you sit in a furniture item can drastically affect how someone might find a seat comfortable.

Options & Upgrades

Compared to other La-Z-Boy furniture families, Dorian has plenty of customization options to choose from. Keep in mind that the cost of the Dorian furniture will increase with your selection of options and upgrades.  

Fabric & Leather Options

La-Z-Boy has over 800 fabrics and leathers to choose from, making the experience of personalizing your furniture seemingly endless.

When choosing fabrics, the Dorian comes in 10 select fabric covers.  There are also 4 faux leather select cover options available. Select fabrics and faux leathers are specifically chosen to match a particular furniture frame and do not affect the starting price of your furniture.

As for the leather selection, a leather match is also available, as well as recycled leather for Alternative Leather Options. All leather options, including the select faux leather, will always increase the overall cost.

Ultimately, choosing between fabric or leather is up to you if you’re willing to spend extra cash on leather products.

Optional Swivel Base

If you're interested, the Dorian rocking recliner is available with a swivel base for an extra cost. La-Z-Boy's swivel bases provide a 360-degree rotation, allowing you to easily turn and face any direction.

You can also upgrade your swivel base into a power swivel recliner, which can recline at the touch of a button. The power swivel base, however, only rotates 165 degrees to prevent the power cord from getting tangled within the furniture frame.

Handle Options

To add more style to your La-Z-Boy manual recliner, you have the option to customize the length and material of the convenient reclining handle.

At an extra cost, you can opt to elongate the handle if you find it too short for your comfort. Additionally, you can choose from a variety of materials for the handle, including wooden, brushed nickel, or matte black. The chrome handle can also be elongated, matching the wooden one in size.

What’s more, for all left-handed users, you can change your handle from the standard right side to the left. This also comes at an additional cost.

Console Upgrade (Loveseat Only)

The Dorian Reclining Loveseat can include a console in the middle of the seat. This handy center console adds extra storage. 

Included cup holders allow you to sit back and relax without having to get up to grab a drink. Further, the console offers an additional interior electronic charging input on top of the ports outside the loveseat.

If the console interests you, the power model has an upgrade with the headrest tilt or the headrest & lumbar support combo to enhance your Dorian Loveseat into a truly comfortable experience.

Cost

In terms of cost, the Dorian furniture products fall within the low-mid price range at La-Z-Boy.

Lina says the recliners are in the lower price range, while the loveseat and sofa are considered mid. “The cost of a sofa can almost be double the price of the recliner,” she says.

While the cost of the Dorian furniture is considered standard at La-Z-Boy, it is important to note that La-Z-Boy furniture is considered more expensive on the market. The Dorian is covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. This warranty covers the repair or replacement of the frame, spring systems, and mechanism, given that they are quality-crafted and built for long-lasting comfort.

While still quality-crafted, other aspects of the product, such as fabrics, leather, and cushion, are not meant to last a lifetime. However, these parts are still covered by the La-Z-Boy Manufacturer’s Warranty for a given period of time.
